Whether this is your first time planning a trip to NYC or you’re making your way back for another visit, putting together the perfect itinerary can feel totally overwhelming. Although we live in Brooklyn (and spent many years in Manhattan), even I can get inundated by what’s going on in the city.
There’s always something new happening in New York and it really can be hard to know what’s worth checking out. However, NYC is the ideal spot for a girls trip, couples getaway, or even a family vacation. There’s truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Because there are so many activities, restaurants, bars, and museums to scope out, it makes it hard to pick and choose what to actually do. That’s where this master list comes in!
With some help from my followers, I’ve outlined the best things to do in New York City. I’ve included some of my go-to’s along with some of my favorite restaurants and bars in NYC.

August 24, 2022 at 8:14 pmJust got back from NYC. I asked my bored teen son to find us a place nearby for lunch (it was my bday) while my daughter and I shopped and he led us to the Black Tap. It was perfect! The shakes are show stoppers and the food was delicious!
