I have already done a ton of research on the best mascaras for volume, and I should really add this one to my list of approved options.

Wear Test
I’d consider this the perfect everyday mascara because once you apply it, it doesn’t budge. While it’s not waterproof, it does hold up well throughout the day and looks just as good in the evening as it does when you apply it in the morning.

The price of mascara varies vastly depending on the brand, but overall, I feel like the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara is set at an attainable price point.
It falls somewhat in the middle of the scale when you consider its competitors, and I happen to think that it’s totally worth the $28 price tag.
Is Ilia Mascara Good?
Overall, this Ilia Mascara has been a good go-to and I’d recommend it to anyone who is interested in switching up their everyday makeup routine. It’s consistently good and always coats my lashes evenly with just the right pigment.
Also, if you’re someone who likes to layer multiple mascaras, this is a good option because it really doesn’t get clunky. This alone is a major win in my book.

Before applying any type of mascara, you’ll want to make sure you start with clean skin.
Next, glide the shorter side of the dual-sided wand through your lashes to lift and define each strand. Then, turn the wand over to the longer, comb-like side to lengthen and separate each lash.
You can apply more coats for a bolder, lengthier look, and for extra lift and curl, use an eyelash curler before applying.
How to Minimize Clumping
Many of us are guilty of getting a bit carried away when applying mascara, which can ultimately lead to a clumpy look. To avoid this, be sure that the wand doesn’t have too much product on it. If it does, gently wipe some off inside of the tube.
Mascaras can also get clumpy when they start to dry out, so be sure to always twist the tube tightly after each use.
How to Make Your Mascara Last Longer
I have been surprisingly pleased by how long one tube of the Ilia Mascara lasts, but if you’re finding that you need to restock often, it might be due to your application process.
Rather than using a pumping motion to cover your mascara wand in product, gently twist the wand around the tube (this is an especially good technique when working with mascara wands with longer bristles.)
