Behind-the-Scenes of a Photoshoot for Hotel Lobby Candle

One of my favorite aspects of being a brand founder is creating the look and feel of a product launch, and bringing it to life through photos. We have a big announcement coming up for Hotel Lobby Candle in the next few months. So when we started planning what the launch campaign would look like, I knew that the photoshoot for it had to be something really special.

Our team spent a lot of time scouring the internet for photoshoot locations in New York. But we couldn’t seem to find anything that checked off all of the boxes on my list. That is, until late one night I was scrolling Instagram, and stumbled upon a new condo building on the Upper East Side called The Harper (located at 310 East 86th Street.)

It was fresh and modern with stunningly beautiful kitchens and all of the living spaces had the most gorgeous light. The building was new. So I figured I’d reach out and see if there was any chance they had a staged unit available that hadn’t been purchased yet. As luck would have it, they had 2 apartments available—11A and 11B. I felt like it was meant to be.

When we arrived at The Harper on the day of the shoot, I was in shock. Because it was even more spectacular in person. Our entire team—photographers, videographers, creative director, and art director—were all beside ourselves. It was literally the apartment of MY DREAMS. And made for the absolute perfect location to bring this campaign to life.

While I can’t share any of the photos from the shoot just yet, I did want to share some shots we took of the space! If you happen to be reading this and you’re in the market for a luxury condo—you should check it out immediately. After spending the day there, I can confidently say it was one of the most breathtakingly beautiful NYC apartments I’ve ever encountered.
