One of my absolute must-have wardrobe staples is a classic pair of white sneakers. I love styling them with jeans, summery dresses, shorts, jumpsuits, and loungewear—they pretty much go with everything. Plus, they’re the ideal travel shoe to pack for trips that require a lot of walking.
But finding the “perfect” white sneaker is no easy task (and you KNOW I’m picky when it comes to shoes.)
Some feel too childish; others make your feet look too big (or too small); and worst of all—some are downright uncomfortable.
Below, you’ll find a selection of the best white sneakers for women — some of these I personally own (Stan Smiths FOR LIFE!) and others are styles that have high ratings or were recommended by friends.
p.s. If you’re into chunky white sneakers, we have an entire post dedicated to our favorites!
The Best White Sneakers for Women
For the ultimate classic look, these Sam Edelman sneakers are a perfect pick. They’re made with super soft leather (that’s easy to wipe smudges off of) and the thick rubber sole makes them supportive enough to wear while standing or walking for long periods of time.

These Tory Burch sneakers come in five different color variations (all with white bases!) and have over 100 five-star reviews. I love the navy blue heel detail on this pair, but they also come in plain white if that’s more your thing. I’d consider these the ideal sneaker for everyday wear.

PRO TIP: If you’re looking for the perfect white ankle sock to wear with your white sneaks, these Bombas are the ones I swear by. I haven’t bought socks from another brand since I tried them. And if you prefer a no-show sock, these are the ones I highly recommend! They don’t slide down—EVER—and they fit like a glove.
This classic pair of kicks from Soludos is a fan favorite, and undoubtedly among the brand’s most popular. Soludos die-hards praise the style for being both fashionable and easy to walk in for long periods of time.

One reviewer stated “I had been on the hunt for the perfect versatile white leather sneakers for a while and was weary of ordering these online without trying them on, but so glad I did. They are EXTREMELY comfortable and do not dig into my heels like other brands of leather sneakers. Also very true to size. 5 stars!”
Few brands can boast the cult following that AllBirds has amassed in just a few years. Men and women alike swear by their signature machine washable sneakers, known for their breathability and ease. Plus, an athletic sneaker can look quite chic while you’re out running errands.
Allbirds Wool Runner Sneakers
When I recently asked my Facebook group for recommendations on the most comfortable shoes for standing all day, AllBirds won in a landslide.
My mom recently bought these and says they’re amazing. I love the combo of neutral colors and that the heel is chunky. If you’re into chunky white sneakers, we have an entire post dedicated to our favorites!
Madewell Kickoff Trainer Sneakers
I’ve recommended these to countless friends — they might be my favorite white sneakers. It’s the perfect “goes with everything” shoe that won’t break the bank and will never go out of style. The Italian brand has been making this exact style since 1911 (!) and they remain as relevant today as they were back then.
Superga 2750 Cotu Classic Sneaker
After having my eyes on a pair of APLs for years, I finally pulled the trigger on the Techloom wave—and I’m SO happy I did. These white slip-on sneakers literally feel like walking on clouds. They’re hands down the most comfortable pair of sneakers that I own.
APL Techloom Wave
They describe the material as “high-elastic 3D stretch rebound TechLoom”—which, I’m guessing, is a fancy way of saying that the fabric molds to your foot and stretches, without stretching out.
These definitely aren’t the cheapest pair of white sneakers on the list, but based on my experience so far, they seem worth every penny.
For the ultimate crisp white sneaker look, you can’t go wrong with a classic pair of converse Chuck Taylors. The nice thing about these is that even if you get them dirty, you can throw them into the laundry with a bit of bleach and detergent and they’ll come out looking like new.
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Sneakers
I first heard of this brand after Meghan Markle was famously photographed wearing a pair of them with Prince Harry. They’ve since skyrocketed in popularity (and rightfully so.) They do take some breaking in but the cushioned footbed will offer good support after you get used to them. I love that this specific pair has such pretty gold detailing.
Veja Esplar Sneakers
I love that these chunky white sneakers have a touch of color on them. These would look so cute with a simple pair of jeans and a white t-shirt.
New Balance Tennis Sneakers
This Italian sneaker brand seems to be EVERYWHERE lately—and even those who’ve questioned the idea of paying $600 for a pair of sneakers became believers after buying a pair.
Golden Goose Super-Star Low Top Sneaker
These Adidas sneakers are known for being lightweight and wildly comfortable. Made with a soft and flexible knit (that’s super breathable), you may never want to take them off. These would be the perfect walking shoes for busy days.
Adidas NMD_R1 Shoes
Do these not bring back memories from you childhood? I can’t believe the exact same style we wore as kids are still around—and honestly cuter than ever.
I’ve been loyal to my Stan Smiths for YEARS—and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was the “type” that could pull them off. However, once I slipped them on, I changed my mind. These are a no brainer.
They’re SO comfortable and look equally cute with jeans as they do with a minidress. Plus, if you have big feet, Stan Smiths will definitely make them look more petite.

I’m considering getting this pair with really cute gold accents, which feels like the perfect white sneaker for summer.
These no-frills classic Nike low-tops have a cute but sporty vibe. My mom actually just bought them after trying out a number of the sneakers on this list, and she says that they were the best purchase ever.
Ecco is a brand that’s synonymous with comfort and well-made footwear. These are a great option for women looking for a classic leather sneaker that’s sophisticated and not overly trendy.
Ecco Soft 7 Sneaker
I’ll admit that I didn’t totally understand the obsession with Common Projects until my husband bought a pair—and now I get it. These are so well-made, they honestly are worth every penny.

Sporty with a slight platform, these low tops by Puma are super comfortable and great for traveling. While I haven’t tried them on myself, based off of these glowing reviews, they seem like a winner.
One reviewer stated “I bought these before a trip and they were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them with jeans and shorts and liked them with both. I have wide, flat feet that hurt me a lot of the time, but these worked well for me.”
Puma Cali Sneaker
For fashion-y types, these Chloe sneakers are like the under-the-radar answer to the Guccis and Golden Goose.
Chloé Lauren Sneaker
To be honest, I didn’t even think Dr. Scholl’s made cute kicks, but these are kind of adorable? I haven’t personally tried them myself, but I would imagine these are hands-down the most comfortable on the list.
Dr. Scholl’s Time Off Platform Sneaker
I feel like this is the perfect minimalist white sneaker for those who want a high quality shoe that goes with every outfit. Plus, the reviews are universally positive.
Thousand Fell Lace Up Sneakers
A good pair of slip-on sneakers is a closet staple, especially during the warmer months. These have a cushioned insole and perforated leather for extra breathability.
Vince Slip-On Sneaker
I can not say enough good things about these sneakers. I own them and have been wearing them consistently for over a year—they’re made in the same Italian factory that Chanel makes all of it’s footwear. Need I say more?
I haven’t yet pulled the trigger on these but I’ve definitely been tempted. There’s something super preppy and chic about a Gucci sneaker, don’t you think?
Gucci New Ace Sneakers
Classic Vans have been around for ages, but this platform style makes them feel a bit more modern and youthful. The best part? They’ll give you about 1.5 inches of extra height.
The Best White Sneakers for Women
I know that was a long list but I swear that these white sneakers have all come highly recommended or are personal favorites of mine. White sneakers really are essential to have in your closet because they go with everything, are timeless, and are comfortable. Plus, they work throughout every season.
I hope this roundup helps you find your new, go-to pair!
